After all of the snow we had recently (50 cm just a couple of weeks ago!), and rain most of the week, it was a welcome treat to wake up to warm temperatures and the sun shining on this beautiful Saturday morning! We decided to take a walk through the MUN Botanical Garden, to get an up-close look at the first signs of Spring.
Mother Nature did not disappoint! The birds were chirping, the breeze was warm, and crocuses were just starting to poke through the ground. Though the calendar says that Spring actually arrived a couple of months ago, it is just starting to show itself here in Newfoundland. It finally feels like the world is waking up from its slumber, and life feels fresh with possibility! Spending time outdoors and observing what is happening in nature gives me an instant boost of energy. After being cooped up inside after a long Winter, it was nice to enjoy this beautiful day, celebrating what matters most - the simple moments with my family that I cherish so much.
Here are some pictures from our morning at the Garden...
Have a wonderful weekend!
Get out there and celebrate Spring - energy, growth, and new beginnings!
